Chanoniwa is the directly operated shop and cafe of Sasaki Seicha, a Kakegawa tea house trading as KANEJO whose leaf has taken the Minister of Agriculture's prize; the Roppongi Hills North Tower branch opened on 25 April 2026 as the brand's first in the Kanto region. Kakegawa is deep-steamed tea country, and that method carries into a matcha with pronounced umami, used both for tea-ceremony service and throughout the kitchen.
